The Control Office Coordinator position is located in Meaford, Ontario at the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre and typically reports directly to the Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Manager. They are primarily responsible for timekeeping, work order control, maintaining databases, maintaining SDS books, controlling Building M205 stationary supplies, greeting customers, and answering phone.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Using JDE and DRMIS, open, close and file work orders.
  • Using JDE and DRMIS, input timesheets.
  • Using JDE and DRMIS complete the forms for BER Equipment, and update the BER Spreadsheet.
  • Using JDE and DRMIS may be required to assist with the End Month Report.
  • Using MS Excel maintain the following spreadsheets: WSIB Clearance certificates, Technical library and SDS listings.
  • Print updated SOPs and manuals and place in Control Office and section binders.
  • Request and distribute stationary supplies for building M205.
  • Sort mail and use and maintain office equipment (fax, photocopier, printers, etc).
  • Greet and/or direct customers and visitors either on the phone or at the counter. May be required to escort personnel to various areas of Building M205.
  • The employee is expected to stay abreast of all tasks.
  • The employee is expected to provide excellent customer service and a safe working environment at all times.
  • Other general tasks as directed by Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Department Supervisors or Department Manager.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a valid G Driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain 404 license
  • Must be able to receive and maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance (Level II – Secret) from Public Services and Procurement Canada.

Proficient knowledge and understanding of:

  • JDE
  • DRMIS

Proficient user of:

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
