Canadian Base Operators’ Moose Jaw Team is recruiting for a permanent Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) position! If you are committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you.
Our Team of professional Firefighters is proud to support Canada’s Royal Canadian Air Force and Aviators during their time at CFB Moose Jaw – 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School. Our team specializes in crash fire rescue response for (2) primary aircraft: CT-156 Harvard II and the CT-114 Tutor (Canadian Snowbird 431 Air Demonstration Squadron). We provide fire inspection and support services for 15 Wing as a component of our regular duties. Our team currently operates on a 2-Platoon system, with each Platoon working a 7 day on – 7 day off rotation schedule with 12 hour days (except for Sunday which is an 8 hour day), this is subject to change if operationally required

Statement of Duties - Job Description
General Accountability
Under the direction of the Fire Chief/Captain, the Firefighter is responsible for responding as a member of the duty crew to all aircraft emergencies and provides standby support for hazardous material spills during flying hours. The Firefighter will also participate in daily training and exercises, verify the operational readiness of the fire vehicle and onboard equipment and assist in the maintenance of an adequate inventory of firefighting consumable stores.

All licenses and certificates must be valid and current. Copies of all applicable licensing requirements are to be supplied to the HR department each year or as renewed.
